HENNEPIN COUNTY, MN — A 67-year-old woman died and another woman was critically injured following a collision in Maple Grove Sunday morning, reports KARE11.

Maple Grove Police responded to the scene on the 15500 block of County Road 81 shortly before 4:30 a.m.

It is unclear what led up to the accident, but it involved three vehicles.

One driver, a 67-year-old woman, died at the scene, according to authorities. Another driver, a 31-year-old man, was transported to a nearby hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.

A 21-year-old woman, the driver of the third car, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the young woman was later arrested and booked into Maple Grove Detention Facility for suspected criminal vehicular operation. As of Sunday afternoon, no formal charges had been filed.
